Vegas rugby refers to the growing professional and amateur rugby scene in Las Vegas, Nevada. The flagship event is the APR Games, an annual 15v15 tournament held the first weekend of June. American Pro Rugby (APR) operates five founding franchises — Vegas Kings, Vegas Knights, Vegas Blackjacks, Downtown Rugby, and Vegas Lions — all competing at the APR Games.
Pro rugby in America is a growing sport landscape that includes organizations like APR, Major League Rugby (MLR), and USA Rugby's national programs. APR runs the APR Games tournament — a fully independent, player-first event that attracts elite players from across the USA and internationally, with $15,000 in prize money and world-renowned coaching staff.
The APR Games 2027 runs Friday June 6 through Sunday June 8, 2027 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Opening ceremony and exhibition match on Friday evening. Pool games Saturday evening. Semi-finals and Finals on Sunday, with the Men's Elite Final at 8:00 PM under full lights.

Three divisions: Men's Elite ($10,000 prize pool — $6k/$3k/$1k), Women's Social ($5,000 prize pool — $3k/$1.5k/$500), and Youth (medals and trophies). All elite games are 60-minute 15v15 rugby. The youth division runs age-appropriate formats.
Las Vegas in early June is hot — typically 100°F+ during the day. All APR Games matches are scheduled in the evening, after temperatures drop, making it safe and comfortable for players. It also creates a stunning atmosphere — rugby under floodlights in Las Vegas is unlike anything else in American sport.
